HEB ISD reacts to WFAA high school football probe | Dallas - Fort Worth News | wfaa.com | Investigates (http://www.wfaa.com/news/investigates/HEB-ISD-101919133.html - broken link)

apparently WFAA has some video of a summer practice it says violates UIL rules--
they did not go to UIL with it--they tried to get HEB ISD/Trinity HS to give response w/o actually giving them a copy of the video to watch--

then they went to the school --totally against district rules--which the station knows since they DO go there with permission--to blindside Steve Lineweaver-=the Trojan coach--

tacky...
if they have evidence of illegal behavior then send it to UIL directly which is what HEB told/asked them to do AND HEB was the one to inform the UIL about the video's presence initially when WFAA contacted them...

Southlake really botched how it handled the situation with their quarterback

the scuttlebutt is that this is in retaliation to someone in HEB alerting the media to the Southlake QB issue, although there is nothing out there to substantiate it.

I heard that someone in OKLA took care of letting them know what the boy was doing
the people he played for last year are not too happy to have their season taken away from them and he walking away clear...not doing his sit-out season in OK like he was supposed to

He is a professional educator--I don't care if he is married or not--
as an educator he has a professional obligation NOT to do what he thought he was doing--
in his mind he was communicating with an under-age female--he was having a "lewd" conversation

that is inappropriate for a teacher ANYTIME--I don't care of some people think what happened (because the person was not really a minor and he was "set up") is entrapment--
if he had not persued the texting--ie he had not gone out of bounds--he would not be in trouble...

if he is married I feel sorry for his wife/family--but he has only himself to blame...

He didnt mess with the station. The schools are in the Fort Worth area, therefore, this belongs in the Fort Worth forum.

The OP did it right.
