It is very possible that I would be moving to/near Fort Worth in the near future. I would be relocating from Boston, ma.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out about the areas and a good place to start looking for an apartment.

Also if someone could help me out in terms of utilities cost?

Obviously this would be a big change for me so any other advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much

Where in Ft.Worth will you be working? What sized place do you need? Do you have school aged kids or other family coming with you? Do you want urban or suburban setting? You need to tell us more about what your situation is......

Default Relocating

I am 25 no kids and single. I would be working at the Fort Worth Zoo. So pretty easy as to not needing alot of specific things at the moment. More Urban at this point would be the best to start. Dont need a yard although an outside area would be a plus like a close by park

Check out 76110 and 76109 zip codes on real estate sites. There are a number of apts in the area. We live about a mile from the zoo. Here is just one - ..:: THE BERKELEY ::.. - Luxury Apartment Homes

There are some new ones on 7th Ave as well. Just google downtown fort worth or berkeley fort worth. Berkeley is the name of the neighborhood near the zoo. Downtown and TCU area is also close to the zoo. As is Fairmount and Ryan Place.

One thing to keep in mind - FW is not a walking kind of city - unless you live downtown. Coming from Boston, I would think you might miss walking around (we do). So you might want to live downtown or somewhere else that is walkable. (walkscore.com is great)

Good luck! The zoo is FANTASTIC.

all depends on how much you want to spend! Live near panera on university dr. and you can ride your bike or walk to work. Trails to downtown and to benbrook lake are right there. But, you'll have to pay the price for the nicer/newer apartments there. Or just live off river park drive (road of ALL apartments) and you'll find a decent community of young people and access to the trails/river. I recommend river park place apartments over others on the street.
