Hi everybody,

I just bought a house in south west Fort Worth.(Hulen st - I20)
I trying to found out wich company to choose for my TV, phone and internet. I would like something basic(with at least local channels) - pretty speed internet and national calls for the telephone. So pretty basic too.
I would like something cheap and nice.
Any suggestions ?

We already ask to att and dish network, they proposed $25 for tv, $20 for internet and $40 for the phone.
$50 installation fees (refunded at the 1st bill) and $50 for the modem (also refunded)... last promos.

Do you have anything better ?
Thanks

We just switched to AT&T Uverse, which has Internet and TV in one package. The "top of the line" package is around 120 dollars, but you can get an 80 dollar package that includes high speed internet and television (around 150 channels). Soon, they will incorporate telephone into that and it should be a better deal. As it is, we're saving money over paying for high-speed internet and satellite/cable. It also includes a DVR, which is something I don't know how I lived without before!

I have SBC for phone and internet. But I have DirectTV. For both I pay about $140.

Want to go really cheap-but-good on your TV??? If you have an HD TV get an antenna! Sound crazy? There are several stations locally that broacast in HD! It just comes over the airways. All you need is an antenna. After you pay for your antenna you have no TV bill. Then all you have to pay is your internet and phone.

Here in Mass (not sure if it would apply out there) you can still connect the cable wire and get the "local" channels, use it like an antenna. Works great with 2 of my TV's, not sure why it doesn't with the big one, but then again it might be the wire itself on that end.
hope that helped someone.

Oh and I got rid of cable tv cuz' I didn't want to pay an extra $50 something a month. Bad enough that I pay $59 for Internet !

I would get Verizon FIOS. Great picture, and great internet service.

Turn on your wireless for your computer and see if there are any wifi hotspots in your area. Some are free. That would be the first thing I tried. If your neighbor has wifi and Internet you might approach them and ask if you could piggyback off their signal and offer to pay a percentage of their bill per month. Heck, it's worth a try!
