My wife and I are holding out hope of finiding a house for rent in the Lilly B. Clayton school zone for our move to DFW this summer... I'll be there in May and she and our 2nd grader will arrive in July.

We have been scouring craigslist, and other websites but have had very little luck finding rental listings in this area. (our budget is $2000-$2500)

When we were in town a couple of weeks ago to look at neighborhoods we didn't see any rental signs in the yards of this area either...

So, I guess what I'm asking is, are we probably kidding ourselves that we can rent a house in this small neighborhood for a year until we get settled into DFW?

Are there any realtors that you guys might be able to reccomend who really have the pulse of this area and could fill us in on the "lay of the land" so to speak?

Thanks in advance for your replies, this forum has been an invaluable resource as we prepare for our big move...

Honestly, I'm just saying this off the top of my head....I'm not one who does a lot of research or googling or anything, but I think you might have better luck in the Ryan Place neighborhood with rentals, and then get a transfer into the Lily B. school district. I don't think it's that hard. I live there, and I know there are kids in my neighborhood who go to Lily B.

P.S. You will LOVE that school and the area. A very wise choice, IMO.
