I cant' tell you how excited I am to move down there from Brownsburg, Indiana (about 15min west of Indianapolis)!!!

weatherford seems to be the best fit for myself and my son. I like the proximity to ft worth (without having to live in a big city). i like the small towns and this one offers all the major players (wal mart, jcpenny, cvs, mcd's, etc...). everything is within 10min or so. i love that!!

i'm a divroced single parent. if things play out like i hope, the move will be summer 2012. i will need to have a job prior to moving. after talking with a few placement agencies, they say it's near impossible to get a job if i don't already live there.

i am trying to get a PT job HERE at CVS, WM or somewhere taht has a location in weatherford to get transferred there as FT. this would DEFINTIELY be a lot less tahn what i'm getting paid now (almost $17/h) but it will do for a while until i find the right job at the right pay. i plan to have enough $$ (without a job) to carry us for about 4 months.

i have worked in a medical office for well over 10 years!! I have done everything from receptionist, payroll, accounts payable and jsut under the office manager. I've heard unemployment is somewhat high (?), but i think it's the same everywhere.....what are my chances of finding a position i'm qualified for within 4m and pays around $15/h or more??

I'm not expecting the PERFECT job that pays six figures per year....but from what i've researched for my (approximate) job description, i should be able to get $13-17/h. $13/h would ahve us living paycheck to paycheck with NO EXTRAS! $15/h would be good amount. I would still have to watch our spending, but i would be able to easily provide for my son.

I was planning to use a placement agency. I would LOVE any/all suggestions....but please, don't try to talk me out of moving to weatherford. i get that a lot on yahoo answers and i just want help and good advice. so THANK YOU in advance for you help!!

Weatherford is a nice community which appears to be growing quickly.
In addition to the employment agencies, you may consider the internet
job search engines such as monster.com or career builder.com.
There are plenty of temporary job locators within the metro which
may be able to assist in your search for adequate employment as well.

thanks rockyjoe! yeah, i have my resume online with monster and career builder. i was thinking to get involved with an agency in the western Ft worth area. there seems to be more options for work there than in weatherford. HOWEVER: if anyone knows of a positon opening up in weatherford in summer 2012 - i'm all ears! LOL

i appreciate any and all advice! THANKS!
