Default Job Fair Fell Short

Just in case anyone reads this...Long-time Bell employee here.

I referred a few people to the job fair because they were qualified and the jobs they were seeking were listed on the employment site. When they arrived they were greated to a mess. Some of this was to be expected; After all it was a job fair right?

Well, after waiting in lines they finally got to speak to an HR representative. The rep told them that the positions they were seeking were not being hired through the job fair; they needed to register and apply throught the web site????

Thankfully they only wasted a few hours there, but I don't think it left a good image in their minds. They will get over it and I will get over it too.

It was a great idea Bell. Next time do a little better on communicating what jobs are really going to be hired through the event.
