Hello!

My fiancee and I are moving to the FW area in August. We currently live in Denton. I'll be working in FWISD and I want to be closer so my drive won't be as terrible. Are there any nearby towns or parts of Fort Worth that are similar to Denton? We love the square and the small town feel of Denton, despite it housing two colleges.

Thanks so much!

^ditto
Grapevine has the historic downtown area, but busier than Denton (traffic etc...)
Roanoke is growing and doesn't have a town square so to speak, the oak st resturant area is pretty neat.

Some of the older neighborhoods (near TCU etc..) in Ft Worth propper might be worth checking out as well...

Best bet is to get in touch with an apartment finder. Tell them exactly what you are looking for (areas, budget etc...) They'll send you a personalized listing with all available apartments with pictures and details. When I moved to Dallas from Canada I used one, it was very helpful. She gave us about 5 to 7 locations. I selected 3 of them, when I drove down I went to each one and ended up settling with one of them. I can always give you her email address, I've used her a couple of times.

On another note, does anyone know if can we post an email address or phone number in these postings?

Thanks for the suggestions, so far! We're looking to find a rental home or a duplex. Both of us are tired of apartments.

hehe, I know the feeling. Been in an apartment for the past 7 years now. I'm getting tired of it as well.
Let me find out if she does houses as well.

What about the Fairmount area? Close to downtown, old houses, gentrification of Magnolia, etc.

OP never reported price or other needs--like pet-friendly
best bet is go to realtor.com and check out properties in different areas in general in price range
then narrow down based on location and what you see in homes available

this is busy time of year--
people moving with children are trying to lock in homes before school starts
good homes will go fast
