We are looking to make a move to the Euless/Colleyville/Grapewine area. We are not too familiar with these areas and thus would be looking to rent a home first before we purchase one.

I would like to rent a place in the North Euless area so I can plug my kids into the Colleyville (or related) ISD. I am open to apartments but would prefer a house (kids need space, have all the furniture from our house now, etc) preferable under $2000/month rent.

I checked on realtor.com and rent.com.
What are some other resources that people use to search for rental homes?

Someone just told me not to rent/buy in any towns close to the airport because of the noise from airplanes. I didnt think airplanes fly that low right before take-off or landing ?!

I live right where you're looking (Euless in the Grapevine ISD). It's 3 miles from my driveway to the south toll booth for DFW. The noise from the airplanes here is minimal. The way the runways are laid out, it's nearly impossible for the larger commercial jets fly over the area. All I ever see directly above me are small propeller planes and the noise isn't anything to worry about. I get more road noise from 360 than I get airplane noise from DFW.

FWIW, I've only been here for 4-5 months but I think it's a great area and really enjoy living here so far.

agree that most of the noise from jets NORMALLY happens in Southlake north of 114 and that part of Grapevine--

that part of Euless--Bear Creek--does not have issue with jet noise of any volumn

whoever told you that might be confusing noise from Love Field/Dallas housing and DFW--
DFW has lot of vacant land around it to buffer the planes' noise

I used to live in the Centreport area -- that little strip of Fort Worth that extends just south of the airport. Planes flew right over my apartment all the time. Honestly, you get used to the noise pretty quick. It's hardly noticeable over the noise of everyday suburbia.
