Been focusing my relocation search in the Haslet area, which is in Northwest ISD. Chief concern with that area is the long trek to the HS and MS up in Justin.

Does anyone have any info on new schools that Northwest ISD is building, specifically to serve the Haslet area. I checked out their website, and saw some documents that suggested a new Middle School to open by 2012, but i wasn't clear where it would be, and what areas it would serve.

Also, what about a 3rd high school? Same documents suggested that one would be in place by 2014, but no other info provided. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I live in Sendera Ranch in Haslet and they are building a new middle school in the neighborhood that serves children that live in Sendera Ranch that is to open in 2012. I haven't heard of another middle school or anything about a high school.

thanks. Do you know if it will serve ONLY Sendera? I gotta believe it will encompass all or most of the southern parts of the ISD.

to answer my own question, i called Northwest ISD, and had a wonderful conversation with their PR/communications person. They will make boundary decisions for the new middle school in the next couple of months.

As for the 3rd high school, they already own the land where it will go. Near the confluence of 287/81, Blue Mound Rd (the east/west version), and Willow Springs. But she guessed that it wouldn't open until 2015.
