that house I saw looked pretty nice--
but there are lots of homes in Southlake in that price range
get a good local realtor who knows the market
ran an MLS search
there are at least 20 homes listed in Southlake from 600-675K

You will get more air traffic noise located around the Lake and north of 114 however
Kirwood Hollow which is in that general area--when we looked there I noticed a lot of air noise but partly that is because I am not used to it
air noise is something that goes into the background pretty quickly when you are there 24/7

I am in Southlake , south of 114 , but in the kisd . The price per square foot of our house was less than the prices in Flower Mound or Grapevine and much less than the prices in Plano . We have newer home with a 1/2 acre lot and 4 car garage .

YES, when we have record rains (like we had a few years ago), and the Corps cannot release water from the lake because the Trinity downstream is already in flood stage, the far back corner of the lake DOES flood!
Carroll ISD is great, but NWISD is no slouch. Almost every single school in NWISD is rated at exemplary. Keller is also a fairly good school system (although getting a little crowded).
