What's the commute to Fort Worth like? Is the west freeway pretty congested during rush hour?

No not at all, and it's about a 10-15 minute drive to Fort Worth depending on where you are and where you're going.

I drive into Fort Worth everyday( I am a 8-5er) and traffic seems to always flow I get off at University and sometimes it slows a little right in there but it always moves. Nice commute...

That's good news about the traffic. There's a possiblility of a move into the Fort Worth area in the not so distant future and the Aledo/Willow Park area is definitely on my list of places to live. The Eagle Mountain area is also high on the list.

It seems to me that probably the worst part of getting to Fort Worth from Aledo is getting to the interstate. There's only one road feeding Aledo from
I30, (SH 1187.) Is that road fairly congested? I'm just a West Texas boy, and I fear being chained to a long commute with traffic every day.

West TX- In the afternoons 1187 will be back logged down to I-20 its a slow go to get up to the light at 5:00 pm. In the mornings it has periods of back ups... Just depends on what time you will be flowing in and out. Seems to be the worst on Fridays and everyone trying to get home for the weekend! Its a small inconvience on some days but nothing that a few good songs on the radio can't polish out...HA!

You don't have to worry about a racial problem here, I graduated 08' and in my opinion, it was sooo much better than Fort Worth ISD, Its one of the few places that EVERYONE is excepted and gets along. Dont listen to radical Star Telegram columist that try to ruin our town and label it a "racist" community just because we are 95% white. I went to school with all different cultures and colors here and everyone in schools is very friendly. I don't believe we had one physical fight my whole senior year. I live in the area that most of the crime 'happened' in Aledo and all the trouble makers are pretty much weeded out. As long as this town doesn't turn into an over crowded Keller, I'd love my children (yet to come) to grow up here. Btw, if you do decide to live here, be sure to leave extra early in the morning because downtown 1187 can be brutal from 8:00am to 9:00am during school days Welcome to our beloved town
GO BEARCATS!!!!!
