A 'good supermarket' means different things to different people......so that may or may not be a big issue. According to their website there is a Whole Foods on Collins just north of Lamar, so if Walmart, Target, Albertson's or Kroger don't do it for you there is that one.

Just north of I-30 and at Cooper and Green Oaks is River Legacy Parks, a wonderful nature center. Just a bit further east is The Ballpark for the Rangers and Cowboy Stadium for the Cowboys- and many concerts.
Six Flags is right past that and across I-30 is Hurricane Harbor as well.

So, lots of outdoor and sports activities can be found in the general area.

Some of the area is indeed very diverse, other parts are filled with mostly older folks and some with mostly black families. It just depends on which part of the area around I-30 at the edge of Arlington and Fort Worth in which you are looking.

That area would give you quite a drive for work and that can be a huge factor in commuting, not something to just shrug off. Some of that will depend on what time of day you will be traveling.

This is a super beautiful area. Homes in Prestonwood and other sections of zip code 76012. If looking in this area, I would focus on homes that are served by Butler Elementary (for resale) or in the Interlocken or Millswood sections. However these are almost all homes built in the '70's and '80's and the commute might not be worth it. Wonderful bike and hike trails all through the area....you can go miles & miles!
