Hi all,

I' am looking to move away from the craziness and rat-race of the DFW metroplex (more specifically, the northern suburbs) and looking to finish my junior college time at Weatherford College. I do have family near (about 10 miles) Weatherford but have never spent any real time there. I have driven through the town a few times and that is it. It has the smaller feel to it that I' am searching for but seems to be big enough that I wouldn't always have to go to the city to have some fun.

I know the city is growing but it doesn't appear to be anything close to the rate of congested burbs like Frisco, McKinney, Allen, ect. It seems like it would be a peaceful place to live compared to where I live now.

Can anyone tell me what living in the town is acutally like? I plan on moving there just before the start of the fall semester. I like the fact that it is far enough from the craziness of the metroplex but also close enough to not be a several hour drive.

My wife has a cousin that lives close to the court house. They have been in the home for at least a dozen years and like it very well. It does get congested around I-20 though.

That seems to be the only complaint!
