Friend I taught with has daughter who was graduated from Bell in May
She texted me and said that her daughter did very well with her IB programs and earned IB degree--
she was accepted at Texas Tech in early admission and will enter with enough credits to be sophomore...

The girl is really sweet, good student but not "great"--just missed being in top 10% of her class
Her family has struggled for past 10 yrs or so since her dad had to leave his job for health reasons and try to retrain for something with a future
They have had a lot to overcome so they haven't been able to really save for college so it was great that she could help herself/them by going in with a year's worth of credits...that is like 20K she won't have to spend...

and good example of why HEB still offers a good product for kids who want to succeed...

Congratulations to your friend. You'll hear stories like this quite often from IB students. Westlake Academy graduates have experienced much of the same as the young lady mentioned.
