Info please......planning to relocate to the DFW area very soon. Looking for work in construction and medical fields. Need a nice safe clean area to raise a child and quality elementary school. Close to shopping and other amenities.......looking for 3 bed/2 bath single family rental home......preferably in a more "country" or rural setting outside of the large cities......where, in your opinion would offer these qualities? DFW, Arlington, Lubbock, Plano, Sherman....etc. Thank you.

I would definitely stay out of dallas. if its not to far, Weatherford(about 20 miles west of fort worth) has good schools and only about 35,000 people. Anneta and Aledo are even closer and more rural. great schools there. Azle is another town with good schools. all of these towns have a country feel to them. most of the construction jobs are to the north of fort worth in the alliance area.
come down and take a look around before you leap into it down here and most importantly, understand that summer here is MISERSABLY HOT! it is not uncommon at all for the temperature to be over 100 degrees from may to September.
also, if you are a new York Yankees fan, expect to get ragged on a bit. I wouldn't worry about people picking fights over it, but the bronx bombers are not liked 'round these parts at all.
