Hello.....just wondering what anyone can tell me about Granbury and Weatherford.....or anywhere around that would be nice area . . but not too far out . .

do not want to be in an area that most people would consider the "sticks" or too far out...

(would like somewhere that people consider to be "nice" when they hear that name of the town you live....)

any info is appreciated...

I do not know much about either place...thinking of relocating....jobs/school not an issue..only for resale potential.....

where do most people work...do they commute...?
does the area have a known "bad" area to stay away from?
anything I should know about the area that someone not from there wouldn't know?

anything is helpful....which areas are more "desirable" . . . .and why....?
where would you prefer and why?
Thanks so much!

to be honest, i'm finding it kind of difficult to figure out how to answer ;>

Is there a particular thing that drew you to mention Weatherford and Granbury specifically?

What is your definition of "too far out"? Are you using Fort Worth as a "center" for that definition?

What are you looking for in a community? You mention Granbury and Weatherford but then also say places n between or around? What are you looking for? What is important to you? Acreage? Subdivision?

You say "just for resale potential" - what price range? how long do you plan to live here? our housing market does not appreciate as fast as markets in many other areas. You also say jobs/school not an issue...but school district can ... does ... have an impact on housing.

People do work in both Wfd and Granbury...but some people also do commute into Fort Worth.

Here is a thread that had discussions re: Weatherford and Granbury:
