What are your thoughts on Weatherford? What do you think of when you hear someone say Weatherford? or when you think of Weatherford?
What can you tell me about Weatherford...and any nice surrounding town/area?
Thanks so much!

between fort worth and weatherford there is a lot more "rural suburbia" than there used to be. I live to the SE of Weatherford around Annetta. Half the time I go to Weatherford for groceries/errands and half the time I go to FW. (At least, when I don't trek down to Granbury for groceries at HEB. Can't wait for HEB to hit Weatherford.)

While I don't know that much about the city of Weatherford, the first thing that comes to my mind is the annual Parker County Peach Festival.

Welcome to the Parker County Peach Festival!

that's what I think too.

Weatherford is loosing it's charm one chain restaurant/strip mall at a time. "Rural suburbia" was a good description.

Smile Weatherford

Weatherford-- HISTORIC, STABLE, BEAUTIFUL, GREAT SCOOLS A COMPLETE PERFECT MIXTURE OF TEXAS CULTURE.
It Has and always will be one of the best places to live and invest in. I lived in Weatherford and watched it grow for over 30 years. In 1975 we passed on chance to buy land and again in 1991. Biggest real estate mistakes of my life. It has and will continue to become untouchable real estate wise.
No one move away. It is very historical, well run government and now there is every retailer in the world so there is no reason to leave for shopping.
The industry/jobs have always stayed to the east and now northwest. The commute easy to anywhere. There is a weather line that runs thru east side along I30 that allows you to get the snow and winter mixes those of us on the far westside of Fort Worth never see.

Even a little farther southwest/east Granbury, Hico & Glen Rose are wonderful places to affordably settle down. All of these offer ALOT of relocation bang for the buck! I've lived in Fort Worth, Granbury & Weatherford for 38 years and plan to retire to Va. next year. This will always be home and I cannot recommend the area the westside of Fort Worth to Benbrook, Granbury, Cresson, Weatherford, SPRINGTOWN , Hico, or even Stephenville enough. Stephenville is probably the best and most affordable . College towns are always great investments.
