I'd like to see as much of this city as I can. What are the must see or must do experiences? neighborhoods?

I'm not interested in sports or outlet and high end shopping

I am interested in museums, shopping for unique items, restaurants that serve good ribs or TEx-Mex, and outdoor activities.

I don't want to drive around aimlessly and not end up doing anything.

I only have that short time because then I'm off to New Orleans.

I appreciate any suggestions!

The omni downtown is great . About 2 miles to the west is the museum district . About 3 miles north is joe t garcias and the stock yard area. Sundance square is downtown

Don't forget the Stockyards! Be down there at 11AM or 4PM and watch the "Fort Worth Herd".

Either Omni, Hilton, or Renaissance Worthington are all good hotels downtown. Omni is a little further from the action, but it's still not bad location.
