The subject just about covers it!

In seriousness, I am very highly nearsighted...-10 and -11. With astigmatism to boot...2.25 and 3.25.

I've been wearing glasses the last 2 years but would like to go back to contacts.

At my previous eye doc (before I moved back to Texas), we always had to special order my contacts. Then I would wear them for a few days to a week and then go back to my eye doc to check the fit/see how I was doing with them.

One time we had to go through the process 5 times before the fit was just right...and I wore those for a year or so.

So I'm looking for an eye doc who knows what he is about with high prescriptions *and* has an office that is experienced with this type of contact fitting. (In other words, one contact lens exam fee that covers all subsequent "fitting" visits and only paying for one pair of contacts if you have to re-order and return contacts a couple times.)

Open to anywhere in Fort Worth or Weatherford as I live in Aledo.

Eyeworks on Hulen is good, I wear contacts, not quite as strong as yours, -6.00, but they don't seem to have any issues with getting my contacts, and they always have to order them.

I use Dr. Paul Rea on Rufe Snow. He wears a very strong contact and relates to the difficulties. Anytime he makes a change on mine he has me wear them to be sure they are right. He's kind of a fussy guy, but does get them right.

And one price for fitting is good for the year .. always nice!

Thanks to you both. I will check out Eyeworks. I'll keep Dr. Rea in mind ... he is a little far for my preference (I'm in Aledo) but depending on the vibe I get from Eyeworks, may be worth it.

Well...haven't actually gone yet. However I probably will try Eyeworks on Hulen. My father's opthalmologist/retinal specialist's office also recommended that practice when I asked. So I will give them a try.

Dr. Colette Manning on McCart is pretty good. I've visited her practice before.

Also, I've sent you a direct message here.
