hello! I am moving from East TX to the Fort Worth area to go to Seminary. I am looking for an apartment in a safe area, in about a 30 mile radius. I am the most familiar with Arlington, but even then I don't know a whole lot about safe places and neighborhoods and good apartments. I will be living alone, so safety is my first concern -- above activities and night life and such, although those things are fun, too! Any information about the area would be greatly appreciated!! Sorry to those who have probably answered this question a million times

What's your budget?
As you're probably aware, the area immediately around the seminary in Fort Worth isn't the greatest...

I don't want to spend more than $700/month. I have been told that the area by Seminary isn't a good area, yes. And I won't need to be on campus everyday, so I am looking in a 30 mile radius of the school/Ft Worth area.

I'm not familiar with Arlington, buy you might be able to nab a 1br around Hulen/Overton Ridge/Bry Irvin area. Maybe a smaller 1br if that is all you are looking for. There is some construction going on in that area (new downton to Cleburne connector) but overall it would be a convenient location and lots of shopping and restaurants.

I agree. Look down in the area near Hulen Mall. Nice part of town and still decently close to seminary.

get an apt locator
they are free
talk to someone at your seminary--maybe they can recommend a locator service
maybe they have board with postings about apartment/roommates
surely they have better suggestions for good areas that what you have so far

why would you want to drive so far even if you are not in school daily
smaller towns usually have worse apt selections than ftw or mid cities and can also have crime

look at crime maps online and call local police depts after you pick out few apt complexes you think might work

don't believe that a gated complex is that much safer than non-gated
