We're relocating from NY in August & we're planning to buy in Keller. We have two kids, ages 4 & 1 who will need full time daycare. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I don't have personal experience with any in Keller itself, but since Child Care is my profession I can give you a boost in your search.

First, you can use this to locate child cares by zip code as a start. DFPS Search for Child Care Center or Home

Every place will offer something different and it will depend on what your top priorities are to begin with.

For instance, location can be quite important in the huge area of DFW area depending on where you will buy and where you will work. Some people will choose a child care close to their work instead of home for their young children. They prefer to be close by in case there is a problem and not have to travel an hour to get to them. Others want a child care that can transport to school once they enter so they choose close to home and not every one transports to schools. So you may choose to look only within Keller or you might have to look near your work.

Price drives many people and can be a factor that excludes possibilities due to cost whether too high or so low the care isn't worthwhile. Add to that hours open can strike a child care from the list.

None of those things are negotiable, so that is where most people need to begin.

Then there are the qualities in a child care that fit in with your personal needs and desires. Academic setting or family like atmosphere? Privately owned or chain? Staff required to have college degrees or not required? Large groups within classes or small groups? Church affiliated or no religious affiliation? Extras offered like foreign language, computer, gymnastics or no extras?

Others that may have personal experience in Child Cares in Keller may be able to give helpful recommendations if they know what you are looking for in a Child Care.

If you are working downtown Fort Worth the Sundance Square Montessori School is very good. Been attending for over three years, they did an excellent job prepping my son for kinder and my daughter is still attending. The only draw back is that they don't open until 7:30.
