Download and look at this - Dallas Moving and Relocation Guide (http://www.yournewcomerguide.com/Dallas/moving-to-dallas/ - broken link)

I used this to really cull down different areas that I wanted to look at. There is a breakdown for each city and gives the feel and impressions of each city.
It encompasses the whole DFW Metroplex so you will find cities such as Keller, Hurst etc.

Tarrant County is just a county and has good neighborhoods and bad.

If you go through a lot of older posts, you will find that people have really outlined the good and bad neighborhoods. I know it is difficult doing it from far away, I did it for a year, so I definately know.

Also go to GreatSchools.net to see what the school grades and feedback are for each school or ISD you find for a particular house.

You might try Saginaw or the Park Glen area of Fort Worth. ParkGlen area is west of 377, north of 820 Loop, west of Watauga.
