Is there anywhere around the metroplex that you can take your dog swimming? My little pup loves the water but I am not sure of safe places or "legal" places for her to take a dip.

City of Grapevine does a "Doggie Dive In" at the pools on the last day they are open for the summer. This year, it's Saturday, August 7 from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Pleasant Glade Pool. It's $5 per dog, and you are supposed to register in advance. Grapevine, TX - Official Website - Doggie Dive-In

You can also let your dog swim in most area lakes' swimming areas.

Keller Pointe does the same thing at the end of the year-again The lakes are about it-we sometimes take ours down to Grapevine Lake but take a couple of gallons of water to rinse them off as they come out dirty from the clay base in the water-Most of the time we just let ours swim in the pool....

Thanks for the advice. Are there specific places on the lakes that dogs are allowed?

(I am not sure if you can bring pets) There is a place in Grand Prairie, named Lynn Creek Park, you have to drive towards an area where there is a swimming area(There are signs that direct you to the Swim area) but the entrance cost $10 but in my opinion it's worth it because the water isn't dirty (its not clear but it doesn't have trash), you can go far into the water without having to worry about it being to deep, and overall the place is great, oh and I forgot to mention that the swim area is in a lake not in a pool.
