Hi guys,
I called pulte mortgage today, to ask the current interest rate for my FHA loan since im schedule to close on september 3 ,I was told that the today's rate was 4.875 and I told to the loan processor that in my opinion that was higher that the national average, so I ask her if they can match other lender interest rate and she said yes they can do that and all she needs is the Good faith Estimate from other lender, my question is how do I get the GFE from other lender (I'm not sure I called wells Fargo and they told me that basicly
they have to get me pre approved first , wich involves getting-running my credit score again and I'm not sure about that, because my loan consultant told me to avoid such things until I close on the loan)

I don't know how to do it , any help will be really appreciated

Whatever you do shop around for the best mortgage you can not just accept the builders rate-you must have a rough idea of your current credit score is-you will lose about 10points(well that's what it was for us) for them to pull another credit score to give you a GFE -but on a side note why didn't you lock your mortgage rate when you got the loan esp since the rate has been increasing in recent months-you can usually do this for 60-90 days prior to closing...As mentioned get with your realtor....

They can not give you a good solid estimate without pulling your credit.

Your credit scores can determine the rate you get. I would have shopped around for a better lender than Pultes lender.

But it's really to late at this point.

No realtor means Pulte has no desire to help you get a better rate or give you any info that would put it in bad light...
Getting a realtor costs you nothing in this situation but as other poster said----too late now
