Hello to all again!

we are now about 7 months shy of our big move from Chicago to the DFW area.
We already know that we want to live in or close to the Grapevine area.
My husband is already looking for a place for the restaurant and we will be going again during the spring time to look at maybe apartments or a home rental( if there's any available) and some possible site for the business
I have a question regarding the community colleges closer the Grapevine.
My son will be attending one of them for the first year so we don't pay the out of state money in a University but rather in the community college.
My question is which one is closer for him to drive, I'm concerned because he just started driving and I would like him to get more experience on the side streets before he has to get in to the expressways. I know that I can look at maps but it is not the same when you are actually driving.
So for the people that live in that area, which college would be closer if driving on the streets?
thanks a lot!

I don't know about Dallas County or others, but Tarrant County College's Northeast campus is at the edge of Hurst and North Richland Hills and is directly off of Hwy 26/Grapevine Hwy.

You will want your son to go to Tarrant County Community College Northeast. That is the closest one to Grapevine, and since Grapevine is in Tarrant County, you will pay a much lower tuition rate once you establish residency.

Grapevine is an awesome place to live.

What kind of restaurant? They really seem to come and go around here...

Cool.

You need to do the "Pizza Piazza" at Grapevine's Main Street Days in May. Its a great way to attract new business and have fun!

good morning,
yes, thanks, that's a a great idea
I was thinking about the comment that a lot of restaurants come and go from that area
any ideas as to why that happens? bad locations, bad food, construction?
thank you

You gonna do stuffed (a la Giordano's) as well? I make my own but it's a lot of work.

What ChristieP said, Grapevine is a great place (selfish aside, your restaurant will be close enough to my house that if your pizza is up to Chicago standards you'll have a frequent customer! )
