It's totally annoying but most likely legal. My neighbor's relative stays with them several days a week and parks in front of my house EVERY TIME though there is an open space in front of theirs. Drives me up the wall, especially on garbage day, when I make sure to put my bin right next to her bumper. There sometimes isn't enough space for my bins!

Yesterday a mystery car parked there and the neighbor relative was forced to park in front of her own house. I guess there will be a battle to see who can park in front of my (&)*%*^%*&^ house! Grr. Annoying. But really nothing I can do.

My leaf bags will be going there today, though. That's where they go.

I could...but I like to use my driveway!

It's not that big of a deal, I guess, just annoying - except on garbage day when it is a big deal. I have four leaf bags to put out, plus the yard waste bin and my trash bin (plus a recycling bin on certain weeks) - sometimes there's not enough room for someone to park there. But again it's totally legal to park there - just hope they don't mind our garbage truck dumping the bins against their cars.

OK look - it IS irritating when someone refuses to park in front of their own house or use their own driveway and instead park in front of your house, especially on trash days but really any day. It's weird and unnecessarily intrusive and thoughtless and selfish. THAT'S what's probably irritating the OP the most.

I had a situation like that once. In my case, I just approached them and told them that I noticed that they parked regularly in front of my house but didn't use their driveway or the curb in front of their own house and they were obviously pretty surprised that I had the nerve to call their hand on it, and they just quit doing it for the most part.

Then they started it up again for a little while, so I just parked there myself whenever I could beat them to it. THEN I "took custody" of my son's truck while he was in Iraq and I just parked it there and after we moved it, they just never started parking there again. I think it was a matter of "retraining" them. LOL
