I am purchasing a brand new townhouse in Euless @ Newport Village.
Can anyone tell me about that area?
I have driven through it many many times in the day and night. I have talked to my neighbors who are VERY friendly.

Default Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Euless!

From what I've seen, those are very nice townhomes. I think you'll find Euless a fine place to call home. The town prides itself on its strong sense of community and many lush parks. You're not too far from HWY 157, which will take you to Arlington, where you'll find many major restaurants as well as shopping at Lincoln Square and a Whole Foods. I hope you enjoy Euless and again, welcome!

Are these the townhomes that have been getting built on Trinity? I've been wondering about those myself.

Yes, the shopping center will be on the side of where target and Chick fil A are located. It will be an open mall like Frisco and Southlake have. It suppose to be very nice. I think you will be very happy here you are very close to everything and many other cities.

Smile Newport Village in Euless

Hi I am a first time homebuyer and I'm confused between the Newport Townhome in Euless (which is great for commute) or the kb single family home in Keller. My commute is to Irving and Richardson.

The townhomes are nice, but they have only a one car garage which is okay for me now, but I plan to either sell or rent out in about 3-5 years and wondering if that would be a negative factor. Also, I read some things regarding the builder on ripoff.com.

Can anyone tell me their opinion of the resale value or probability to successful rent the place out in the future with the area being mainly commercial right now..

Are they still planning to build to shopping centers, etc?. when?

Would the one car garage pose a negative in the future?

How is HEB school district?

How are the builders? I'm just concerned cause this is my first purchase and I just want it to be a happy experience.

My other alternative is the Kb homes in Keller.. paying Ft worth taxes but Keller ISD in an area with a shopping district... but not sure about the commute to Irving.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much

Your commute to Iring should not be bad from either location to to Richardson it would be a bear!!

Townhomes with 1 car garage are usually meant for empty nesters so only one car or 2 in the household. Depending on the price range, it could affect resale value. Is there a carport for a second car?

How is HEB school district? Decent ISD. There is also Newport Villas but they are under the Grapevine/Colleyville ISD which is even better.

How are the builders? I'm just concerned cause this is my first purchase and I just want it to be a happy experience.

Sorry haven't had much experience with these guys to give an opinion. My advice is to knock on doors of people who live in the neighborhood and ask them what they think and what issues they have encountered.

Sorry I am not fond of KB...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Euless seemed very nice to me in comparison to many of the towns and areas close to Arlington where I work. The community that I found was absolutely adorable until I performed a bit of research on the Tarrant Appraisal District website and found that many of the homes (single family, not townhomes) had been through numerous owners over a very short period of time (four or more in only four years). That has scared me away from the one little development in Euless. Now I'm concentrating on North Richland Hills which has lots of newer construction and seems to offer the same level of quality as Mansfield with proximity to better shopping alternatives in northern Tarrant County. Euless seems very nice. I wish that I could figure out what's up with the high home turnover rates on Lake Eden Drive.
