I'm looking to move to ft worth and will have to drive to jacksboro for work. Is this doable in a hour? What would traffic be like. I have found a few apts. I am leaning towards the Montgomery plaza as it looks to be the best place I'm my eyes. What do you guys think of it. Any other suggestions. Or perhaps a good suggestion closer to Jacksboro.

Will you be driving that every day?

I haven't driven that in a long time, but google maps estimates it to be 1 hr 4 min ... and that would be with good traffic and hitting stoplights perfectly IMO. It's more likely to be slightly longer. (I used Mont. Plaza to the main intersection in Jacksboro - 199/380.) From downtown taking 199 all the way, there will be a fair amount of traffic lights. The good news would be that you would be travelling opposite the main traffic flow. ie. you would be heading out of town when everyone else is heading in to town.

I was going to say if you will be driving that every day, to reconsider where to live. Unfortunately in terms of apartments everything towards Fort Worth or even Denton is likely to be about the same in terms of commute.

Why not live in Jacksboro and drive to FTW 1x or 2x a week to do whatever you're going to do there?
Probably can save gas money, rent money, CO2, and brain cells.
You could probably save enough to stay in a hotel or AirBnB if you really want to on Saturday nights...
