My dear Texas born and bred husband will be in Ft. Worth this summer and he is in dire need of new clothes. He only fits and wears western.

Big country guy with barrel torso, thick legs, and long waist. Normal men's clothes do not fit him and he hates them anyway. Since we moved away from Texas many years ago he hasn't been able to find clothes. He's been wearing the old ones now for 15 or 20 years.

He needs shirts, pants, boots, a new suit. Size XLT. Cut big and long.

I've been googling around for men's western wear in Ft. Worth and come up with next to nothing. What the hell has happened to Texas? I can find pink and green ostrich dancing boots and belt buckles galore, but very few traditional western wear retailers. Where did they go?

Of course there are a few online retailers, but clothing is best bought in person where you can try it on. I would think Ft. Worth to be one of the best places to find men's western wear (everyday stuff), but no.

Help my husband be [more] beautiful -- or he will be naked in a few years.

Where can he shop in the Ft. Worth area for quality men's western clothing?

Help!

you probably want to try the western wear stores in FTW--Stockyards or close to--

Cavender's has some area locations and while they carry "big men" sizes I don't think there is large variety at the store in Hurst I usually shop at--but there is larger one in Arlington close to the Shepler's
Shop Western Outerwear for Men| Free Shipping $50+ | Cavender's

Shepler's which has large store in Arlington off 360 has these on website--don't know if all are available in store

Sheplers: Men's Lubbock Suit

and found this doing a Google and apparently there is order-on-line at this site

Western Jackets - Big & Tall Big and Tall Mens Clothing at Davis Big & Tall

if your husband knows his size in particular make I think he could order anything on-line

Google XLT western wear and get your credit card ready. Most vendors offer free shipping wit a minimum purchase.

But as someone who does order on line quite a bit--if you don't know the make/size for what fits you then you might have lot of returns...
