I am planning a trip to Dallas and to Ft. Worth. I'm curious if either city's downtown has fountains or other water features, other than the big one in each city of which I'm already aware.

Thanks for any information!

By "the big one" in FW, do you mean the Water Gardens? You should definitely visit them...just south of the Convention Center.

Other than that, in Fort Worth, there are some fountains in Burnett Park.

Fountains in Burnett Park are long gone.
National Cowgirl Museum has a splash pad outside.

I do. Thanks for the info. How about Dallas, other than the Fountain Place? I used to live in NYC which has tons of fountains despite being cold in the winter. Therefore, I assumed that Dallad and Ft Worth would have a lot.

Several new fountains added to Sundance Square as part of the new plaza.

Thanks for clearing that up. I often pass by Burnett Park but haven't actually been in it in years.

I limited my response to downtown, but the Botanic Gardens have some water features and there's a duck pond in Trinity Park. The Modern Art Museum also has an interesting water feature.

Yes. I completely forgot about that.

I am not the best person to ask about anything in Dallas. I go there maybe once or twice a year. Sorry.

In Fort Worth, you really should go to the Water Gardens. They're spectacular and often forgotten by FW residents.

There is a really cool water feature at the new Tarrant County College downtown campus just a bit north and east of the court house downtown. It follows a sunken plaza and appears to fall into the river. I agree, the Water Gardens is probably Fort Worth's most impressive water feature. I would also mention the fountain on the west side of the Kimbell's Kahn building in the cultural district - a very beautiful and a peaceful place to stroll, and not far from downtown.
