I am considering buying a condo in downtown Fort Worth. I own a few investment condos in mid-cities area and, as far as managing the property, they are easy rentals. This one may be a rental or we may leave it furnished and call it home while we are off adventuring. Want something in an urban setting. My grandkid lives close to FTW, so that is the attraction.

Any suggestions or warnings about specific downtown FTW condos?

I would just check for what special taxes might be associated--
some of those conversions and new builds happened with special taxes associated I think

any thing in Sundance will benefit by having the bike security guards around on the streets
but you pay higher price I am sure

Might consider the old Montgomery Ward condos--development was in foreclosure but think that has been taken care of and nothing is really cheap--but the units that face FTW itself have spectacular views at night...sort of like Manhattan from DUMBO--
That development is closer to a Target and Tom Thumb for shopping and restaurants in the ground floor...and is walkable for the So7th development sort of...

Also might consider one in Museum District--different type of environment--more trees, quiet-walkable for some things but not like Sundance...
