Some news from the DFWI Luncheon adding more to the Lancaster Corridor:

Quote:
A group, including the developer who led the Walmart-anchored Renaissance Square development in the service-starved Southeast Fort Worth, plans a 202-unit apartment development on the site of the original Frank Kent Cadillac dealership in downtown Fort Worth.

The project, to be called Cadillac Lofts and developed by a partnership named Sonoma Investments, will be at the southeast corner of West Lancaster Avenue and South Main Street, Andy Taft, president of the Downtown Fort Worth Inc. economic development nonprofit, announced during the organization’s annual meeting and luncheon Wednesday at the the Renaissance Worthington Hotel downtown.

I thinks it's safe to say that southern downtown Fort Worth is booming with residential development. It appears to be the next boom spot in the city.

I'm hoping the old CNB land XTO owns will be developed into something more than just a garage.

Well... Right now, the word is that it will be an 800 space garage, if you haven't heard.

I believe that XTO is teasing us. The fact that they reported they are open to other options for the property is red flag that a big development is on the horizon.

That's been discussed. Still being talked about now.

It's possible that they do what was done to the old Texas Building on that same site:

Build a base and then, go verticle in the future...

I'm gonna be a little lazy with these next two...

Ciera Bank mixed use construction:

Ciera Bank is moving ahead with plans to redevelop the prominent site of its Fort Worth branch overlooking Interstate 30 at Summit Avenue. The first - and, likely, the second floor - would house Ciera’s offices. The third floor would have six apartments under the conceptual plan. The second and third floors would overhang the bank’s drivethrough.

Three acres next to Pier 1 Imports building for sale:

Three acres next to the Pier 1 Imports building west of downtown Fort Worth have been put up for sale.

Marketing the property for Houston-based Hines, a privately held real estate firm that owns the land next to the former Chesapeake Energy building, is Transwestern.
The land is zoned for multiple uses, including office, multifamily and hotel, and whatever building is constructed must be compatible with the Pier 1 Imports building, Huff said.

“It probably wouldn’t be office, because that would be a competing product [to the Pier 1 Imports building],” Huff said.

Default Downtown

"The Acre Distillery" will be replacing the former Rodeo Steakhouse on the east side of downtown, near the ITC.

I just have the feeling a new Fort Worth tallest is coming. I'm crossing my fingers on it. Surely XTO can't let Jetta out due them.
