Not sure (and I don't have a photo since I was driving on the highway), but it seems like something else is being built in NRH that's bigger than this. Seemed to be at least 6 floors.

If anyone living in that area knows, snap a pic for me?

Are you talking about the hotel under construction connected to the Hurst Convention Center? A block north of 183 just west of Precinct Line, about 6 stories. I can't remember what the brand will be.

Haven't heard of that one.

Sorry, it's actually the Hurst Conference Center and it's just a Hilton Garden Inn directly connected. The hotel includes some additional meeting space and some shared lobby space.

Default Near Southside

Ah, ok. Thanks for the info. I'll find more on it.

In the mean time, I got some Near Southside news just this morning:

The Taste Project (1200 S. Main)

Quote:
It will be a community restaurant, where all can eat regardless of means. People can pay what they would typically pay when dining out, pay a little extra to cover another community member’s meal, or simply enjoy a meal on us.

821 E Terrell (Pinkston's building)

Under redevelopment by Jennifer Neil Farmer and Robb Farmer of F5 Design Build. The former "Pinkston" building was constructed in 3 phases starting in 1921. This historic building was the center of commerce in Terrell Heights until the 1980's with multiple business uses including: The Avenue Movie Theatre, Recreation Club, Automobile Service Station, Doctor's offices, Beauty Parlor/Barber, Apparel Retailer, Food Market, Mortuary, Antique Market, and more. Restoration and re-purpose: "mixed-use" commercial with "Phase 2" expansion potential on Kentucky Lots. (Over 1 acre of land). Project Partners, Owners, Developer, Architect, Contractors: 821 E.
