HighwaY 114 to US 287 in NW Ft Worth (Fort Worth, Plano: construction, schedule)

I travel frequently from Plano to Angel Fire, NM. I use US 287 as the fast way to start out, but I generally go up I35 to Denton and hit US 380 to intersect with US 287 around 20 or 30 miles down the road. An alternative that I tried Sam Rayburn Tollway to highway 114 to US 287 NW of Fort Worth. The last 5 or 10 miles on 114 were under contruction, from roughly the Race Track in N Ft Woth area. I last tried it about a year ago, when is that route scheduled to be complete or has the construction zone reduced so this is a good route by now? Thanks in advance

It's a lot closer to completion, and much better than it used to be.
