I am moving to Fort Worth and will be working in downtown. I would like to keep my commute to around 30 minutes max.

What are some nice and safe areas with apartments close to Fort Worth? Maybe some of the outside smaller communities/towns?

My budget is pretty good, looking for $1000-$1400 or so a month, so I am looking for a nice place.

Any ideas on areas or even better any apartment complexs that you know of that are really nice?

Thanks.

Take the Hulen street exit off I30 and go south. Once you cross the big bridge over the railroad yard, start looking at apartment complexes. That's a great area, and you will have a short commute into downtown.

Lincoln Properties in the past few months completed two large apartment complexes in the 400 and 500 blocks of Samuels Avenue just off Belknap Street a couple of blocks northeast of the Courthouse and adjacent to TCC's Health Sciences campus (within walking distance) I have no idea what these new apartments rent for but since my spouse and I live on Samuels Avenue (for the past 25 years) I see folks from the apartment complexes jogging and riding bicycles while going by daily. The Trinity River bicycle trails are also nearby and the Stockyards are but a few blocks to the north. Another location to consider might be around West 7th around the Montgomery Plaza area which has seen lots of new development for the past several years-there too, downtown is but a short distance away and it's very near the cultural district with its museums and entertainment venues. The area mentioned by ChristieP off Hulen is yet another area with an abundance of specialty retailers for a broad stretch along Hulen. Good luck with your search-you'll find many options meeting your criteria.
