Anyone have any personal experience with this area or this elementary school? I have checked all the facts on greatschools.net, but I'd really like more opinions. Right now it is between a house in Tanglewood, one in Weatherford (that is great!) but I don't know anything about the schools, and now Benbrook. Thanks!

Weatherford's schools aren't known for being great. Have you checked the latest TEA ratings? Welcome to the Texas Education Agency Click on the 2006-2007 Report Card link to check out the ratings of individual schools.

One area that has really good schools is White Settlement. We're in the Fort Worth district right now, and we're trying to get a transfer to White Settlement ISD because the elementary schools are all really good.

Can you tell me what you have heard about Weatherford schools? Aside from academic standing, my major concern is that my children can go to school in a safe environment - hopefully not at a school known for bullies, drugs, etc. My realtor's daughter said Weatherford schools were full of drugs and violence, but she's a teenager. The realtor (of course) says they are great.
