I've been considering relocating to Fort Worth (from Las Vegas) for about the past year.

Using redfin data, I note the median price of a home in FW has increased 20k in the last 1 year.

I'm curious, do you think this is due to more higher-end homes coming on the market, or is the overall market just booming this much?

Fort Worth is exploding in growth like crazy. I am a native of Fort Worth who has seen this city change so much in just 15 years (post 2000 to today). Never in a 100 years would I have thought the city would convert inner city homes into beautiful historic communities. Turn old abandoned industrial buildings into condos, lofts or just places to lease. And last but not least the sprawl the city has experienced as well. So many suburubs growing fast.

If you're bored and have free time. Check out the City of Fort Worths plans for the next 10 years.

I am proud of my city and Fort Worth. Has always had the potential, though it is barely being untapped.

My Realtor sent me out on a wild goose chase in NW Fort Worth area up by Texas Motor Speedway. I drove for 30 minutes and didn't see a grocery store, gas station, or restaurant. What's going on up there? House prices were high for what was up there. It felt like something was coming but no one knew what.
