Hi y'all. We just arrived in beautiful Fort Worth and it's raining, but I'm still determined to see the city. Here is my tentative itinerary. I'm looking to refine it so as to better plan the day

We're staying at the Holiday Inn at north fossil creek.

1. Go to the bureau of engraving, and then cabellas to look at guns (it was recommended)

2. Go to stockyards. Hope the rain stops and make it to the cattle drive (this is a big maybe). Otherwise maybe return back later

3. Go to museums (hoping to wait out more rain)
-Sid Richardson
-Amor Carter
- Kimbell
- botanic garden if it stops raining

4. Downtown
Sundance
Burnett Park
JFK tribute
Central library
Camp Bowie boulevard
*eat at central market

5. Late night -
scat jazz Lounge
Shipping and retrieving
Bearded lady
Live oak
Lola's
The usual

**I really need help with food. I got almost nothing
Thanks guys. I love city-data

-Tim

That's a lot for 2 days, but you could probably squeeze most of it in. I would skip the Central Library (I would never think of it as much of a tourist attraction, there's really not much to it) and Burnett Park (spend more time in the plaza at Sundance or go to the Water Gardens instead, both are much better public spaces than Burnett).

I would pass on eating at Central Market unless that's something you're set on. The food is great, but you can do better in that area. Just to name a few: Buttons, Lucille's, Tommy's Burgers, Kincaid's, Fred's, The Woodshed, Tillman's Roadhouse, Kona Grill. That's just a smattering of what you can find on the west side or in the Camp Bowie area. West 7th and Camp Bowie are packed with great places to eat. There's more downtown: Del Frisco's Grill, Mi Cocina, Reata, just to name a few. The Stockyards is a little more hit and miss: H3, Lonesome Dove, Los Vaqueros, Love Shack.

Enjoy your time here.

Cafe Modern at the Modern Art Museum is great for lunch.
Reata downtown is very Texan and delicious!
