My husband and I have been looking and alot of the homes we like are in Park Glen HOA.... I started wondering why are so many for sale in that area? Its not just they are in our price range, they encompass the very low and the very high end. Any input about the area would be greatly appreciated.

Lots and lots of homes for sale there. This area was a prime area in the early to late 90s to live therefore you can see why there are so many homes on the market. The school district is Keller. A large portion was considered a first time homebuyer's community and when people moved up many of them retained the homes and rented them out.

It is still a nice area. Because there are still alot of builders around it, the homeowners are struggling to sell since they are competing with the builders for the sale. However, many homes have been updated nicely and taken care of so you should be able to get a good deal.

Default Park Glen David Pannell

Unlike a lot of other neighborhoods Park Glen addition is very popular and most of the homeowners take pride in their homes. I just read a sales report stating that homes sell within 47 days on the market in Park Glen. This is awesome for value in this economy were in. Foreclosures and Short Sales exist, but normally don't last on the market and they are immediately updated-resold to help home values stay up. The city of Fort Worth should make all builders develop land like they have here. Lining the the streets with tree's is a major plus along with running and biking trails. I love to take listings here just because I know I will get a lot of visitors to my homes. Park Glen at Christmas time is always remembered as the years pass. Park Glen is like your higher neighborhoods on a middle class income.

I remember looking at this area in the late 80s when I was considering buying a home. It had just started then. I remember a few things about it:

1. Ross Perot's family member was the investor
2. It was a "planned community" with shops and houses together, etc.
3. No outdoor antennas could be more than 5 feet above the roof.

That's all I have.
