Hi I am relocating to Ft. Worth (retiring military) from being overseas. We are looking for a nice family friendly suburb close to shopping. We like the look of south lake however don't have the budget for it. We can go up to 300k. How does Keller rate as far as being low in crime, good schools? Thanks

Keller is very popular with families and your price range will be fine there. You are correct that your budget is too low for Southlake.
Where will you be commuting to for work?

Also Roanoke is fine! And many parts of North Richland Hills, too.

Crime maps helpful
Most areas in that price range would have good stats except for random crimes like car burglaries I would imagine
There is low level of violent crime in most north Tarrant areas

Good luck applying to KISD
Google region X and XI TEA-- two north Texas education districts
List all districts, charter schools--have jobs sites
