So I'm relocating to DFW and I've reserved an apartment at the new community "The Venue" in North Richland Hills, TX.

The woman I spoke with on the phone informed me that I would be choosing my own electric provider. Since I'm not familiar with the area, could anyone point me in the direction of some information so I can make an informed decision? I would like to have the electric turned on by the time I get there, so would need to get it straightened out in advance.

Any help would be most appreciated! The zip code is 76108 if that matters.

Here ya go! Power to Choose

That is the Texas State Utility Commission site that gives you a run down on your rights.

When we moved, I wasn't familiar with all the ins and outs either. We chose Reliant because they had a .10 per killowatt special for a period of time. So far we have been pretty pleased with them.
