Hello

I-35W, southbound Alliance to 820, is the construction finished ?

How about coming inbound from Weatherford, on I-20, to Alliance ? Use 820 or go all the way I-20 to I-30 to downtown Fort Worth then drive north on I-35 ?

Want the less traffic and less danger, not necessarily "shorter distance" route

Thank you !

DEFINITELY take 20 to 820 to 35W. Construction on the 30/35W interchange is a big mess right now, and it only gets worse north of downtown. You will still hit some at the 820 interchange but it's not as bad.

The construction is all on 35, with a little crossover on 820 at the 35/820 crossover/merge and nightly lane closings. I don't believe there is any construction on 30 at this time, as we just traveled on 30 just to 35 and went south this week.

Coming from Weatherford I would take 20/30 to 820 and go north then east on 820, but not all the way to 35. I would exit on Blue Mound and take the back roads to the Alliance area. Some of that will be congested, but it won't be near as dangerous as 35.

From about North Tarrant Parkway almost to 30 on 35 is horrible. Narrow curving lanes that vehicles have a hard time staying in their lanes and since they are likely going too fast already, causes the accidents. Once there is an accident, there is very limited ways off the freeway to get around it.

Construction won't be finished until 2018.

As others said, construction is still going on. Invest in a smart phone and get google map apps. It has live traffic and tell you the best route to get where you're going.

I call 35N Hell Highway. Still working on it, exits change routinely. Lots of good shopping but a nightmare. I live in Marine Creek area and go the back way to Costco on Tehama.
