Okay, so the strike has been going on for a few months now. We've gotten refunds on David Bowie, Rachmaninoff, and Home for the Holidays so far, and Legend of Zelda is probably next (1.7.17).

Here's a recent article:

As Symphony Strike Continues, Fort Worth Patrons, Arts Leaders Reflect On Stalemate

Quote:
There’s no way of knowing how many others feel that loss, or how acute it may be. There’s also little indication the dispute that led to the strike will be resolved any time soon.
Also, it looks like the FWSO site is gone, as if they stopped paying their fees:

Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (I get a Microsoft IIS Windows Server page now)

I'm not very up on the particulars of either side though I've read each side's position. I think it's unfortunate and bad for everyone and there's no right or wrong side and no easy solution. We see probably eight shows a year there so we're starting to miss it.

Thoughts?

So much for my season tickets. VERY disappointed that FWSO.org have not settled. I can only imagine Ms. Bass would be turning over in her grave over this. I remember when the FWSO played in the little hall off Trail Lake.

At least I have my Manheimm Steamroller and Tuna tickets. No telling how they will handle the Van Cliburn in May!

I've received refunds for all my Nov/Dec shows. I used the money for shopping. Meh....

Sad they can't come to an agreement-I don't know the particulars well
Enough to have an informed opinion.

Tentative agreement reached, still must be ratified Wednesday, shows set for 1.1.17 and later still on calendar.
