There are a few homes for sale now in the 230K - 240K range. It's quiet and convenient. Birdville ISD schools. We're past school age kids, so not sure how great the schools are, but the kids in our neighborhood certainly seem happy. There's a lot of playing outside, and a nice mix of ethnicities.
I have one who will be a Senior at Birdville High next year, and one in 2nd Grade at Foster Village Elementary. BISD is pretty darn good overall, especially along the Keller and Hurst borders.

I also like NRH. It's big enough, but not too big. Plus with the new rail coming in by the end of next year or so, and two stops in the city (Iron Horse and Smithfield)... it's going to start hopping!

We lived in Bedford north of 182 for almost 30 yrs and then moved to Hurst
We like the Mid Cities area and I think there are still good things happening in HEBISD
There are plenty of posts about this area if you search the FTW forum
