I'm interested to see if anyone has any recommendations for a Christian church in the Colleyville, Southlake or Grapevine areas that might meet the following criteria:

- Contempary music such as what is played on Sirius XM Message, Hillsong, Jesus Culture, Chris Tomlin, etc
- Bible based sermons and teaching - the pastor actually walks you through scripture in an engaging way & you leave church being able to apply a Biblical message to your week (not looking to hear non-Bible stories or someone talk about themselves & their family the entire time).
- large portion of the tithes going to support missions domestic & international
- worship this encourages people to surrender to God, lifting hands, kneeling down etc
- active young adults group for under 35 with small group / life group for this age range

So far, I have been 1) First Baptist Colleyville - their "contemporary service" seemed more geared toward the youth and hardly had anyone there 2) Compass Colleyville - I liked their message but did not like the music, they didn't use anyone recognizable from Christian radio today 3) Gateway - too big & seemed a little commercialized

I would sincerely appreciate any suggestions in these areas for something that might be worth trying out!

I'm wondering if you caught Compass on a bad day. My family has been going there for 2 and a half years and I've heard plenty of contemporary, relevant music, including songs from all 3 of the artists you mentioned. That said, you will occasionally hear some more traditional songs mixed in.

I wish I could give you another recommendation, but that's my only experience in recent years. You might check out 121 Church in Grapevine. They're finishing up a new campus on Hwy 26 and, although I've never visited, I know a few members and I always hear good things about it.

I honestly don't know about the sermons, but my dad loved "attending" White's Chapel Methodist in Southlake online. He watched from home (we live an hour away and dad had mobility issues). He loved their music. They have 6 services on Sundays...3 traditional and 3 contemporary. They also have a sermon archive on their website, etc. You can check them out at Home - White's Chapel UMC - Southlake Texas

That said, the Methodists are usually a little bit more reserved than maybe what you are looking for (lifting hands, kneeling down, etc.).

Go to Gateway. It hits all your marks. We go to the main campus in Southlake and have for 10+ years.

Pastor Robert Morris is one of the best of all time. Not even joking. Funny...but serious and always basing all sermons on scripture.
He previously and currently serves on a small advisory board giving biblically based advice to our current president.
I believe Seven is the young adults ministry.
Great worship...all of those ones you mentioned.
Kari Jobe came out of this church and comes back every once in a while.
One of the largest contributors to Israel in the world.
Huge missions department.
Holy Spirit moves here.
It's a large church...but the equip classes and small groups are great.

We are trying to buy a house close to church (even though my wife now works there) because it's that good and important to us.

x2. Member since 2007, church has grown a lot. If you don't like big churches heaven might now be for you, there's gonna be a lot of people there lol. I felt the same way you did for a little bit, when I first attended Gateway there was 1 campus. Find a group to join, there are tons in the area. I live in Euless but attend a group in Keller.

Pastor Robert Morris is transparent, real, humorous, and has a big heart for God and the church. Kari Jobe is great but one of the most talented singers I've ever heard sings on Sunday from time to time (Rebecca Hart). Definitely try a small group.

Would Irving Bible Church off 635 and Olympus work for you?
Another alternative might be Fellowship.com
