I'm house shopping and am considering Burleson, TX.

I work in South Arlington off of I-20 near Matlock. Google Maps pegs the commute around 20-25 mins, which I am ok with.

I'm somewhat new to the area and don't know much about various areas yet. Is Burleson considered a nice place to live in? I'd love to hear thoughts from those who currently live there.

Why Burleson? There are places to live all over the place right where you're working. Mansfield is closer, especially N. Mansfield.

Your commute time is going to be more like 40 mins each way, if you take I-35N and I-20... especially around downtown Fort Worth area with all the traffic and construction, not to mention the intersection of 820 and I-20....

Burleson is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. We have lived in a number of places around the DFW metroplex and Burleson is by far our favorite. We've been here 5 years and have two teenagers. Schools are great. Neighborhoods are nice and friendly. We live in the plantation neighborhood and it's quiet and neighbors are nice. But there are a lot of nice areas in Burleson. People are down to earth, which I especially appreciate. I hope you move here!

Commute time will be more like 50 minutes each way, probably double that when the sports teams play, look closer if you want to avoid spending hours commuting.
