Meh. The Alamo is overrated. You wait in line forever to see the inside of a church that was never properly cared for after the battle. It was pretty much an afterthought for about a century and as a result it looks nothing like it did during the siege.

I don't know. There's a Ripley's museum and a Rainforest Cafe across the street. That's pretty special.

Here are a few places on my list

Pretty much any State Park in Central Texas
Lockhart for BBQ
Fredricksburg for winerys
Float one of the Central Texas rivers in Summer
Austin for the bars/music
Space Center Houston
4th of July fireworks at Hell's Gate on Possum Kingdom Lake
Corpus Christi
Galveston
Fort Worth during the Rodeo (January-February)
Houston Rodeo (never been but hear its fun)
San Antonio (Riverwalk and Alamo is worth a visit if you have never been)
Football game at Jerryworld (if you have money you just want to throw away)
Dallas (good museums, Stars hockey, Southfork Ranch)
