Hi,

Are there any Good public schools within the Ft Worth City limits. I’ve heard that the area by the zoo has good elementary schools, but not good middle or high schools.

Thanks

Yes.

Elementaries: I'm familiar with and would classify as good: Tanglewood, Alice Carlson, Westcliff, Dagget, Lily B.. Almost certainly there are more that I'm less familiar with.

Middle: I know less, so I'll let others chime in.

High: Paschal gets good reviews, particularly for students in AP classes. Lots of friends' kids who went there have gone on to great universities and eventually grad programs/ prosperous careers.

Warning: There's talk of redrawing Tanglewood's attendance boundaries. Also, you pay more for a house located in Tanglewood's boundaries.

It isn't just talk, it's happening, but I wouldn't let that deter me from the area. I firmly believe the new school will be strong too.

The new school will be less than a mile and a half from Tanglewood. Odds are that the Tanglewood zone will be split. There might be more apartments in one zone than the other, but I wouldn't let that scare me away from one school or the other.
