I am interested in purchasing a house (250-400k range) in Far North Fort Worth. I read a number of threads in the past about this area, most of which were some years ago. I guess there's development of this area in the past a few years. Your comments will be appreciated for my following questions.

1. Do you think the Heritage community is better than the Villages of Woodland Springs (VWS) for a family with a kid going to be in the 9th grade in the fall? One of my concerns for certain available houses in VWS is that the high school (Byron Nelson) is 5-8 mi away. Would that be a problem for student commute? Another concern is that VWS is not as close to amenities as Heritage. Besides these, do you have other comments to compare these two subdivisions including safety, resale value etc?

2. Any general suggestion for house purchase in the area within 35w, 377, 170, and N. Tarrant Pkwy?

VWS is very different than Heritage in my opinion. Different prices, different styles, different quality.
What price range do you want to be in?

Thanks TeamLynn for your comment. I am in 250-400k range, but can be at the cheaper end to save money for other purposes. I noticed the unit price is ~5% lower in VWS than in Heritage. Did you mean VWS is generally lower in quality than Heritage and have a different group of residents?
