According to city datas stats, the crime in GRANBURY appears very high compared to most.
Can anyone shed light on this .

Some of the stats are kind of bogus.
I'd talk to the CRO at the police department. Call the non-emergency line and ask for CRO or beat officer for the area you want to buy in.

I would think for the most part Granbury has a low crime rate in almost all categories.

Often the CRO can tell you the real story behind the stats.

We have friends whose son and his wife teaching in Granbury
They bought house there recently
Like it
There is crime and then there is crime
Are you referring to property crime, crimes against person,
And Granbury might take in lot of surrounding area for reporting crime stats--

Thanks for the reply.Looks like their "thefts" are grossly out of proportion.Being a ret. LEO I place a lot
weight on stats (if they were reported properly )
And as you stated these may be "county wide or city wide " unknown.
